Springdale Har-Ber had another solid season in 2017 but are looking for a deeper playoff run for the 2018 season. The expectations are as high as ever when it comes to a playoff appearance and possible state title run for the Wildcats.
The Har-Ber Wildcats return two starters on the offensive side of the ball for the 2018 season. The Wildcats will likely give Blaise Wittschen the opportunity to start at quarterback to begin the season. Wittschen was the starter to close out the season last season and by all accounts he was solid. Wittschen passed for 310 yards and 1 touchdown last season. Har-Ber’s offense might take a game or two to develop chemistry, but this should be a dangerous group as the playoffs approach.
The Har-Ber defense returns four starters from the 2017 season. Wildcats’ fans should look for linebacker Nick Fusher to build off a strong 2017 season. Fusher had 39 tackles last season and he should easily match that total this season. Har-Ber always has a talented defense and this year should be no exception.
The Wildcats’ should once again compete for a playoff spot and make a playoff run. Har-Ber has some young pieces but this should be a fun group to watch as the season gets going.
