Springdale Bulldogs Preview ’18

The Springdale Bulldogs have gradually improved every season since former Arkansas Razorback Zak Clark took over as head coach. The 2017 season ended with the Bulldogs making a playoff appearance against Cabot.

Last season, Springdale fans got to enjoy some impressive victories over Conway, Russellville, and Rogers Heritage. The player to watch on the offensive side of the ball for the Bulldogs is Garrett Vaughn. Vaughn rushed for over 600 yards last season and punched the ball in the end zone 12 times. Once Clark, settles on a quarterback, this group has the potential to challenge for a playoff spot.

An area that must show improvement is the Bulldogs defensive unit. A player to keep an eye on for Springdale fans is linebacker Chops Sanders. Sanders is transferring from Har-Ber where he racked up 30 tackles last season for the Wildcats. The defense should some improvement as the season goes on. Once everything gels, the Bulldogs will be a team that opposing teams will want to avoid as the playoffs approach.
