EGR Classic: Oak Grove Tigers vs. Calvary Baptist Cavaliers

The Eddie Robinson Classic is the kick off to football and this season is no different. The Eddie Robinson Classic is once again bringing in some powerhouse teams. The Oak Grove Tigers and the Calvary Baptist Cavaliers will square off in the Eddie Robinson Classic.

With both Oak Grove and Calvary Baptist coming off impressive seasons in 2016, the game on August 26th will be a great test for both teams. Each team wants to continue to build off the momentum they had built last season and the Eddie Robinson Classic is a great place to get the ball rolling. Both teams will come into this game hungry and ready to get the 2017 season started with a bang.

The Eddie Robinson Classic does not have a shortage of a great players to watch in the Jamboree. Calvary Baptist running back Kordavion Washington is a player that will attract college scouts. Washington rushed for over 2,000 yards in 2016 and is looking to have an even bigger season this season. Washington has an impressive mix of power and speed, which will cause opposing defenses problems. Kordavion Washington is a player that fans will want to keep an eye on at the Eddie Robinson Classic.

Oak Grove is not hurting for talent either. The Oak Grove Tigers also have an impressive running back that can run over defenders. Donald Gray is a powerful runner that will run opposing defenders over. Gray plays the safety position as well and what will stick out to the fans watching the game is that he will not shy away from contact. The Oak Grove-Calvary Baptist game has the potential to be one that comes down right to the wire. Fans should enjoy this one, it has the potential to be a classic.
