EGR Classic: Lincoln Prep Panthers vs. Ferriday Trojans

The Lincoln Prep Panthers come into the 2017 season fresh off of a playoff appearance after finishing the season 4-8. The Panthers had an impressive season and have the potential to make a playoff push again this season. Lincoln Prep has a strong running game and leading rusher Johlik Madison is returning for his senior season. Madison rushed for over 1,000 yards last season and tacked on seven touchdowns. Lincoln Prep will receive a great test at the Eddie Robinson Classic with Ferriday High School being the opponent.

Ferriday High School had a solid season in 2016. The Trojans finished 9-5 on the season and went on a nice playoff run. The player that Trojans’ fans will want to keep an eye on at the Eddie Robinson Classic is Dantreize Scott. Scott racked up over 500 yards receiving and caught 3 touchdown passes. Scott is a solid blocker from the tight end position and has solid hands. Fans can look for Ferriday to find ways to get Scott the ball.

The Lincoln Prep-Ferriday matchup has the potential to be the best game of the Eddie Robinson Classic. Both teams have a great deal to prove and are looking to start off the football season with a big win this week. Football fans will be in for a treat this week.
