The Texarkana Arkansas High School Razorbacks did not have an easy 2016 season. Texarkana finished with a record of 3-8 last season and were bounced in the playoffs by West Memphis 29-15. Things will change this season for Texarkana, Barry Norton has been brought in to right the ship and get the Razorbacks back to winning again.
The Razorbacks’ offense will have six starters returning for the 2017 season. Arkansas High School fans will want to keep an eye on Jordan Hall at the running back position. Hall has had some big games over the past few seasons and is looking to have a big season this season. The Razorbacks are going to want to mix the run with the pass but Hall gives them a good starting point for the 2017 season.
Arkansas High fans should keep an eye out for Cameron Collier in the defensive secondary. Collier will play the rover position for the Razorbacks and he has a nose for the football. Collier has a nose for the football and the ability to pick off passes. The Razorbacks will have five starters returning on the defensive side of the ball and if the defense can get some stops and force some turnovers this could be another playoff year for the Razorbacks.
The Razorbacks have experience returning and this group has potential to reach the playoffs once again this season. Barry Norton will take over as the head man on the sidelines and this should be an interesting year for Arkansas High. Fans can look for an increase in the win totals and I would not be surprised to see them make a playoff appearance this season.
